HID Bulbs: A Wonderful Lighting Option In Automobiles

HID stands for High Intensity Discharge that is a lighting technology that depends on electric energy to ignite xenon gas in a sealed quartz bulb. The light produced by these bulbs is similar to the natural light of the sun. The best thing about these lights is that there is no filament involved in these light forms as a result of which electric discharge takes place inside the bulb filled with xenon gas.  Here, the arc of light is produced between the two electrodes in a glass tube that is all filled with inert gases and metal salts.

The major benefit of using HID bulbs is that the light produce is of high intensity, but the energy consumed is quite less as compared to standard bulbs. The important structure present inside these bulbs is the ballast that consists of a circuit board along with resistors, capacitors and transistors. Moreover, this ballast works as a light control center that ignites the light and regulates its power flow. Heat is not the necessary component of the light produced in these bulbs and hence, more light is generated at much cooler temperature. As no heating takes place, this results in the increased life of these bulbs.

There are so many additional benefits that are associated with these special HID based bulbs. These are water, weather, vibrations and shock resistance. These are even UV rays protected and made using good quality material. One will find these bulbs with varying intensity like 3000K, 4300K, 6000K, 8000K, 10000K, 12000K and many more. All these bulbs are not suitable to the automobiles. There is a provision of buying the lighting assembly equipped with the HID bulbs. There is the other option where you can simply buy these bulbs and put them in the existing lights that are already installed in your vehicle.

HID Headlights: A Modern Headlight For The Modern Vehicles

They say, “Time spins and in every spin there is a change”.  This time the spin of time and technology has brought HID Xenon headlight to the automobile industry. The time has gone when the headlights were round and only signifies as the source of the lights. The modern car required sophisticated and stylish headlights. The HID bulbs perfectly meet the requirements of safety and style in today’s luxury vehicles.

Why HID bulbs are safer?

Besides having less traffic in the night, the frequency of accidents is higher in the night time. The reason might be in the anatomical evolution of humans. Humans are not adaptive to see in the night. Moreover, the conventional headlights are not bright enough to offer full proof visibility. Therefore, the Xenon HID bulbs were evolved to complete the loophole of the conventional headlamp technology. The HID headlamps provide five times more light than the conventional bulbs. In addition to it, the light emitted is very much similar to the daylight and humans are adaptive to see in the day.

Why one should install HID bulb?

The first reason is safety, because nothing can be compared with the safety of the driver. The bright and wider illumination of the HID lamp offer safer journey to the drivers. The other reason is HID technology is economical. These bulbs have very long life and consume very less energy.  All in all, the HID blubs complete the need of the modern vehicles in case of safety and style.

Importance Of Lighting In Your Automobiles

Everything present on the car is all invented by the mind of creative people. No one had even thought of that there will be lights in the automobiles at both front and back to enlighten the road. Although the purpose of both these lights are different, as front lights aim at providing clear road vision during the night while the rear end lights aim at giving the speed signals of your car to the other drivers. Demand of lights has increased in the present, time that is why there are so many other types of light forms equipped in the vehicle.  These lights include fog, corner, side mirror and many other light forms.

If we talk about technologies, there is a great variation that has come in it as incandescent bulbs has been replaced with projector, LED and HID technology. Projector headlights are the front lights that are working on projection technique in which light is projected in a particular direction instead of scattering it. Such lighting makes it easy for a person clearly see the road and adjust speed according to the approaching vehicle.

There are tail lights, brake lights and turning signals that are present at the rear end of the vehicle which works on LED technology, which is also good at working. The light produced in both LED and projector has excellent intensity and quality. Both these light forms serve the purpose for which these have been developed. Do not worry about the prices as these are available at quite genuine prices.

Different types of headlights existing for your automobiles

A person is blind without eyes similarly a car is blind without the head lamps. These lights of the car always bring elegance and charm to the vehicle. Appealing headlight fixed in front of the car make the presence felt. Most of the cars look beautiful because of the powerful and gorgeous front light. There are generally three types of headlights available in the market. These are:

1. Halogen
2. HID Xenon
3. LED

Halogen bulbs are widely used bulbs in the automobiles, and these have high life expectancy. These are made up of high temperature resisting glass, certain proportion of gases such as argon and nitrogen and tungsten filament. The main drawback of halogen bulb is they actually get heated, and it is considered as wasting of energy.

Xenon HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlights contain xenon light and the blue light that can be visible by naked eyes. The light emits by the xenon lamp is very intense, and the lamp certainly has a long life expectancy, as well.

About LED (Light Emitting Diode) headlights, people believe that these lights are small in size and do not waste much energy. Nevertheless, these lights require very less amount of energy to work, and they do not cost much, but possess excellent functionality.

Technology is changing daily, and it is making the car owners confused which head light to use. The decision should be based on your pocket, need and car’s performance.
